If you are reading this then you clicked on the link for The Last Stand 2 guide by me, Hoopotomus. If this is not the guide you are looking for, I recommend clicking the button that has an arrow that is pointing left at the top left corner of your window.

On Kongregate, there are 3 achievements available for The Last Stand 2 and if you are able to complete the game it is likely you will earn all 3 achievements. You will certainly earn the easy badge “101 Damnations Badge” for killing 101 undead as well as the medium badge “Dawn of The Alive” for completing the game. The only badge you may not earn even if you complete the game is the “Party of Five Badge.” You earn this badge for having four survivors with you at one time.
The point of this guide then is mainly to help you play one game and achieve all 3 badges at once and so I will start with the most important part and work my way on.

MOST IMPORTANT POINT

SEARCH EVERYTHING. I don’t care if you have enough supplies to move on, SEARCH EVERYTHING. If you don’t do this, don’t hold my guide accountable for your failure.

My other key suggestion, go to Whistler’s Grove, not Claystown. If you go to Claystown, you’re on your own, my guide doesn’t cover that area.

What to do during the day:
Try and divide your hours searching into 12, by using either groups of 3-3-3-3, 3-4-5, or 4-4-4. If you are at half health or less, be sure to spend sometime rebuilding as well. You can't succeed if you are dead!

Types of undead:

Normal guy – Your average undead, an easy kill, the least of your worries.

Fatty – These are like your average undead only they are fat. This of course means they can absorb more bullets.

Green Zombie- a really slow zombie that may be slightly stronger than your normal guy. I’m not too sure if they have anything special about them. Anyway, very low threat.

Armored undead – These undead have body armor covering their torsos. To kill them shoot either their legs or hope for a lucky headshot.

VARIATIONS

Runner – As you can tell from the title, these little buggers move extra quickly. This adds to the threat of the zombie because of how quickly they reach your barricade.

Weapon holder – Some of the undead hold weapons, these are your PRIORITY TARGETS. These are the only undead that can kill through your barrier. If you want to get the badge for having four other survivors, do not let these guys near your wall. If you want to complete the game DO NOT LET THESE GUYS NEAR YOUR WALL.

OTHER

Dogs- these guys are fast and weak. They may not look like they are attacking, but they are doing damage so don’t just let them chill at your wall, kill them.

PATH
The path guide will include available weapons in te areas you should be going to. Also, it is safe to assume there are two survivors in each area. REMEMBER SEARCH EVERYTHING.

Area 1, Glendale - .357 magnum, chainsaw, 9mm pistol (weapon you start with)
In this area you should also find 2 survivors. When you find these 2 survivors, give them the .357 and the 9mm. The chainsaw is going to be one of your key weapons throughout your fun-filled adventure and it should always be one of your two weapons. It is great if you find yourself with a hord of undead at your barrier.
(Slight heads up: there is a building in the bottom right corner of the map that is searchable here. It's just a little hidden compared to others)

Area 2, Whistler’s Grove – Shotgun, Compund Bow
The compound bow will be another staple in your personal arsenal. It has high damage and low reload. Also, you can use it but your companions cannot, like the chainsaw. At the end of this area, you should have about 7 at least 7 supplies, 4 survivors if you didn’t lose any, and 3 of them equipped with weapons.

Area 3, Aspenwood – Hunting Rifle, Sawn off shotgun
The sawn off shotgun should be given to your party member without a gun. The hunting rifle is a good weapon to replace the compound bow. It has relatively quick reload and crazy high damage. Also, if you get a headshot, the bullet can damage a person behind the enemy you just owned.

Area 4, Jonestown – M4A1, AK-47, Grenades
Basically, these weapons shouldn’t matter. If you’ve played the game right and searched everything you will have to spend a maximum of one night here. This night, you should use all of your traps to ensure your survival. You need 6 supplies to complete your journey from here and you should have at least 5 when you arrive. If you are lucky, 6. If you have to spend a day in Jonestown, search places that seem like they should have supplies instead of weapons. If you find supplies and survive the night you are pretty much set to succeed.

Assuming you’ve done everything and completed the game, congratulations on earning your 3 badges! I hope this helped you on your happy-fun-time adventure with the undead!
